VARIA™ promotes the optimal photochromic control of NXT^® sun lens. 
It combines the following two important features. 

1) Fast reaction rate (activation and color change speed)
2) Wide transmittance range(from cat. 0 (Tv 86% ) to cat. 3 (Tv 11%).

 Depending on the scene, it provides an optimal view, so there is no need to attach or remove sunglasses. 

NXT® VARIA™ Photochromic Lens - Flash Black

When not activated, the lens appears as a light gray tone with a subtle silver mirror, offering a slightly transparent look—very similar to OAKLEY Slate Iridium.

When exposed to sunlight, it transitions into a darker gray with a stronger silver mirror finish, comparable to OAKLEY Black Iridium.

Of course, the color does not change drastically from one extreme to another. Instead, the lens automatically adjusts its light transmission between 44% and 12%, optimizing visibility for the surrounding light conditions.

It performs beautifully both indoors and outdoors—eliminating the need to take your sunglasses on and off. And being made of NXT® material, it provides an exceptionally clear and sharp vision.

This lens is versatile enough to handle a wide range of environments and lighting situations.

The mirror coating is a top-quality, high-durability Japanese mirror, and the inner surface is treated with an anti-reflective (AR) coating to reduce unwanted reflections.

Combining durability, scratch resistance, functionality, light weight, and impact resistance, this is truly a new-generation lens that delivers outstanding performance.

When you use it while driving it does not change the color so much as the glass window of the car already have UV cut function.

This is suitable for Running, Walking, and some other sports with no contrast view.
